Black Country firefighters tackle yard blaze at Industrial Estate in Bilston

Shortly after 10.05pm on Sunday 3 November, we responded to Etruria Way, Bilston. Seven fire engines from Bilston, Willenhall, Fallings Park, Wednesbury, Tipton, Wolverhampton and Bloxwich responded, the first arriving within four minutes of being mobilised. This was a fire in the yard of an industrial estate, involving six vehicles. Three cars and a van were destroyed by fire, and another two vehicles suffered superficial damage. The fire spread to a nearby shipping container, which damaged stock inside. Four hose reel jets were used by firefighters wearing breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. The fire is believed to have started accidentally. Cadent gas were in attendance and confirmed there was no gas supply to this property. We left this incident at 12.32am with the property owner in attendance.
