I am writing to confirm that the West Midlands Fire Service has now completed its search for the information you requested further to your freedom of information request.
Please find below a summary of our findings.
Request
It’s just a basic request of average response times when attending thermal runaway of car batteries. Just the time from the initial call to the as soon as there’s attending the scene.
Reply
We have been able to locate two incidents involving thermal runaway of car batteries since 2009, the mean response time was 476 seconds.
Please note this data is based on a key word search, as there are some workbooks that may still be incomplete from 2023, data may be subject to change.
