Black Country firefighters tackle factory fire in Woodsetton

Shortly before 6.30am on Friday (14 March), we responded to Mons Hill, Woodsetton.
Initially six fire engines from Tipton, Dudley, Bilston, Brierley Hill, Oldbury, and West Bromwich responded, crewed by around 30 firefighters. Two fire engines from Wolverhampton and Wednesbury also attended the scene, bringing resources to eight fire engines and around 40 firefighters.
This is a fire in a single-storey brick-built factory unit. Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus have been using three hose reels to tackle the blaze, and have made good progress. Around 70% of the premises has been affected by fire.
Crews will continue to damp down at this incident for some time. Two fire engines have left the scene.
