Incident at Hampton in Arden Train Station
Crews assisted British Transport Police at the incident, involving a casualty on the tracks, at Hampton in Arden Railway Station in Solihull.

Two fire engines, one from Solihull Fire Station, one from Bickenhill Fire Station were called to Hampton in Arden Railway Station this morning (Monday 21 August) at 09.41am. The incident involved reports of a casualty on the tracks at the railway station. Our crews assisted British Transport Police, West Midlands Ambulance and National Rail Officers, all of whom were in attendance. Very sadly, a woman was pronounced dead at the scene. British Transport Police have confirmed they are not treating the incident as suspicious and will prepare appropriate files for the coroner. Our crews left the scene just after 10.30am and the incident has been left in the care of British Transport Police. Due to the nature of the incident, it’s likely rail disruption may continue for a time this morning. Those travelling between Birmingham International and Coventry are advised to check travel updates on West Midlands Railway’s website.
