Skill set and experience
Wide-ranging experience working across most areas of the organisation. Previously head of our protection services, Steve is now Head of Response. This role involves the leadership of our response and emergency services, including Staffordshire and West Midlands Fire Control and our emergency planning teams.

Coventry University – BA Applied Leadership (2:2)

Interests and hobbies
Hobbies are mostly sporting, including playing and watching football and coaching an Under-15s football team.
Work history
Worked across the service as a firefighter and supervisory officer across the Black Country, before moving into middle manager roles as a Station Commander at stations in Birmingham and the Black Country. He also led the Incident Command Development Centre and operational training, before becoming Operations Commander in Birmingham and the Black Country.
